FAQs

I’m a home owner / occupier, can you help me?

Absolutely! We have plenty of experience undertaking our process with single sites both with families who have no intention of selling and want a long term plan, but also those who want assistance with marketing their home to potential buyers. Get in touch and we can show you some project examples to illustrate how we might help.

Couldn’t I get this service from my architect?

Yes possibly. If you have an architect that you normally work with and have a good relationship this is a service they may provide. Reasons you might want to utilise Sharpe Strategy before (or as well as) talking to your architect is that we have specialist understanding of planning viability and data driven resources which can increase speed to execution. We can also provide an independent point of view informed by hundreds of similar studies within the market. With professional experience in reviewing a wide range of development, we can show you the pro’s and con’s of any previous design schemes when you may be stuck with how to progress.

What happens after the five step process?

After our five step process Sharpe Strategy can help you put together the right team for your project. We can assess and help select from our wide network consultants such as other architects, planners, engineers and construction contractors who are aligned in values and a good fit. We can utilise our documents to become briefing and scoping documents to help you engage the team with a clear scope which will not only bring certainty but allow the incoming consultants to provide a sharper fee.

What are your turn around times?

Our process is tailored for fast feedback. We are aware that time is money during development. Often we are engaged during a due diligence process and so we understand strict timeframes. A standard options and report process takes about 2-3 weeks but can be done urgently by arrangement.

We don’t have budget to put to design yet. We think we know what we want anyway. What’s the point?

The greater cost is fully designing a project only to discover it’s unbuildable or lacks market demand — a common occurrence. Long project timeframes make this risk even higher. A thorough pre-design, visioning, and feasibility stage can save money, uncover hidden value, and reduce risk. In tough economic times, knowledge is your best asset. Invest upfront to avoid larger losses and disappointment later.
